Affirmative Action Office

As much as the university may intend to conduct business in a nondiscriminatory manner, sometimes individuals in the system do violate university policy. Counseling Center

Professional staff works with students in facilitating self-exploration and development of a positive self-identity. Counselors will assist students with a variety of issues, including sexual orientation, identity, and relationship concerns. Services are available to all full-time students. Faculty and staff are welcome to contact the Counseling Center for an intake appointment and referral to outside resources.

The Office of Health Education and Promotion
Health Services (862-3823)
The office offers educational programs on various sexuality, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues; physical and emotional health issues, including homophobia/heterosexism. The office has a resource library which contains books, periodicals, videos and pamphlets regarding homosexuality, gay/lesbian issues, bisexuality, sexual identity, and gender identity and transgenderism. In addition the office makes available information and referral to social activities, support groups and services/programs available on campus and within the local community. The President's Commission on the Status of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Issues
