Eric L. Sullivan, M.A.
Pre-Doctoral Intern

Eric was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University and graduated in 2004 with a B.A. in Psychology (minor in French). He is currently an advanced PhD student in clinical psychology at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. His clinical experience includes working with substance dependent individuals at Bournewood Hospital in Brookline, MA, military veterans with a variety of issues at the Bedford and Boston VA Medical Centers, and, most recently, college students at the Emerson College Counseling Center (ECCC). His experience at ECCC was rewarding and interesting, and inspired him to continue his work with college students at the UNH Counseling Center. Eric is also active in research. His current research uses heart rate and blood pressure responses to stress to predict sleep quality and health. His theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral, meaning that he likes to focus on the way thoughts and behavior influence feelings and he seeks out practical solutions to difficult problems. Outside of his professional life, Eric is an avid Ohio State football fan and is always available to talk about the latest college football polls, stats, and scores. He also loves camping and snowboarding (which he hopes to do a lot of in NH), traveling, and cooking and trying new food. Eric lives with his wife and two cats in Newmarket, NH.
